A visit to the Museum of the Peolple of Abruzzo is a must see to plunge into history and culture of Pescara and its region. The museum hosts a collection of archeological exhibits, artworks and everyday objects which talks about the history of our region from Antiquity to the Modern Age. The sections dedicated to craftmanship and popular traditions offer an interesting overview on the cultural roots of the city.
The nature Reserve Pineta Dannunziana is a pinewood located a few steps from the sea, it is the perfect location for a break fron the chaos of the city. You will relax, make jogging or have a picnic in the shadow across its paths and stretches of green grass. The park is also an important centre of cultutral activities, actually it hosts also concerts and exhibitions.
Pescara is famous for its delicious food: among the typical dishes to taste there are the "arrosticini", sheep skewers on embers, and the "pasta alla chitarra", a homemade pasta with tomato sauce and small meatballs. Don't forget to taste the "parrozzo", a cake of almonds and chocolate.
